Join us on Friday, July 24, for an extraordinary evening with the Oklahoma Baroque Orchestra's HIP Quartet at 1515 Lincoln Gallery. This intimate program, Between Two Worlds, explores the poignant musical dialogue between two Czech masters, Antonín Dvořák and Bedřich Smetana. Dvořák composed his beloved string quartet while living in America, filling it with longing for the Bohemia he had left behind, while Smetana's music reflects a deep love for a homeland undergoing profound change. Together, their works form a moving conversation about memory, belonging, and the ache of worlds both distant and disappearing. The HIP Quartet brings these voices to life through historically informed performance and interpretive precision, offering audiences a deeply immersive musical experience. A pre-concert talk begins at 6:00 p.m., providing insight into the music and the stories behind it, followed by the concert at 7:00 p.m. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening. Seating is limited to just 35 guests, making this a rare and intimate experience that is well worth reserving early.
Tickets are $40 each and can be purchased here.
