ARTIST INSIGHTS

How are your background and life experiences connected to your art?

Exactly, I don’t know. I think traveling has an influence on my art. Particularly interested in the art of antiquity and medieval painting available in museums in my country and Europe.

Who are some of your biggest artistic influences?

Max Ernst, Robert Rauschenberg, David Hockney, and antiquity and medieval painting.

How have you developed your artist career?

With satisfaction and sometimes with disappointment.

What does your artistic work intend to communicate to its audience?

That they would like to see the mystery of everyday life.

Does your work comment on any current social or political issues?

Yes, very often in my drawings.

Do you have a particular story that stands out from your career as an artist?

It seems to me that contact with other artists and conversations, shape my career. A special story... is a long friendship with the painter( late) Ewa Andrzejczak. He was older than me and was able to help with artistic stress.

What is one thing you would like your audience to know about you?

That I am and still looking for the artistic Holy Grail.

Which current art world trends are you following?

Generally, postmodernism, new figuration, and artistic film.

Why have you chosen to sell your work in the 1515 Lincoln Gallery?

Because this is a new possibility. I have never collaborated with galleries in the USA. The gallery kindly encourages artists to cooperate.
