A personal commitment to cultivate art appreciation through authentic connection.

Art is a treasured part of human existence, and our relationship with it inspires Susan McCalmont.  Susan began her art exploration as a child and through studying art history at University.  Her creative curiosity swiftly evolved into forty years of experience leading nonprofit organizations that cultivated creativity and advanced the arts and community development.  During her 20-year leadership of the Kirkpatrick Foundation, she initiated collaborative projects impacting Oklahoma's arts education and culture growth.  Shortly after, she launched and steered Creative Oklahoma to improve the economy and life quality using creativity and innovation in education, commerce, and culture. In addition, Susan developed societal change strategies and an international educational and networking event alongside prominent visionary Sir Ken Robinson. In 2012, she received the inaugural Sir Ken Robinson Creative Leadership Award.
