We invite you to experience the "Landscapes: Imagined and Real," a stunning group exhibition combining works from the OT Found Art Collection and Contemporary OT Represented Artists. The show begins on Thursday, March 3, from 5 - 7 p.m. and lasts until Wednesday, March 30.
From early 20th century treasures to present-day triumphs, the show features an array of creative mediums and approaches depicting landscapes and the effects of this long-standing tradition. Featuring works from fourteen artists, including six contemporary Oklahoma painters.
The exhibition's focus is land and sky and the connection between the two features interpreted by fourteen different artists. Six Oklahoma artists are featured: Marc Barker, Anthony Steyn, Katherine Liontas-Warren, Chris Brizzard, Mark Gilmore, and Regina Murphy (deceased). The remaining eight artists hail from around the world.
Artists feature landscapes during seasonal changes, cloud development during storm phases, and land and sky from abstract perspectives. Each unique depiction provokes the viewer to imagine their interpretation of the scene. As the current season transitions, Landscapes: Imagined and Real prepares the viewer to embrace the change with the diverse experiences of winter storms and fresh spring light.
