Exciting New 2024 Programming

At 1515 Lincoln Gallery, we believe art has the power to transform us individually and connect us to one another developing community. Over the last 12 months we have met one another and experienced art through Artist Talks, Exhibitions, Special Events, Food and Cultural Trips. We are excited to share some new additions to our offerings for 2024.

Starting in February,  the first Sunday afternoon of each month, we will host Oklahoma Poetry House with Terri Cummings, a poet, publisher, and director of the Oklahoma Poetry House. Her books include Tales to the Wind and An Element Apart. Oklahoma Poetry House will be a relaxing and thoughtful space where one can appreciate the artistic value of the spoken word and discover beautiful new writing by talented poets.

The first Saturday of each month, our Artist in Residence, Nathan Lee, will host an Open Studio in his studio at 1515.

The first Saturday of each month, our Artist in Residence, Nathan Lee, will host an Open Studio in his studio at 1515. Nathan Lee is an accomplished visual artist, musician, and activist from Oklahoma City passionate about meaningful creation. He is a founding member of Inclusion in Art and is recognized for his work in fostering a more racially diverse art community in Oklahoma. Many of Nathan’s works reflect the need for interconnected relationships in the arts.  "If we do not value each other, we stop caring,” says Nathan. His Open Studio events will allow visitors to have insightful cultural conversations, build meaningful relationships, and learn more about the artistic process.

Scott Hale, owner and director of Southwest Art & Wine Appraisals, located at 1515, will facilitate Art and Wine Appraisal events at the gallery in 2024.  Scott Hale is a third-generation art historian, appraiser, and advisor. Scott believes we are all collectors and enjoys bringing together his love of art and wine. “I'm looking forward to providing art education for those interested in learning more about art and wine or enhancing a collectors’ experience. The gallery has meeting spaces that will help build relationships in the community,” says Scott.

Starting early in 2024 on late Friday afternoons, talented pianist, Garcia Tarver Jr., will be playing jazz music for our new Wine & Jazz gatherings. Garcia will take you on a sonic journey through jazz while you sip on fine, rich wine. The Wine & Jazz Fridays will be perfect for relaxing after a long week and catching up with friends while enriching your day with beautiful music and artwork.

Experience culinary services by Culinary Artist Nancy Black at 1515.

1515 Lincoln Gallery is also available for rental events featuring a backdrop of striking gallery art and culinary services by Culinary Artist Nancy Black. Nancy is an accomplished chef who has created and worked at restaurants in Vermont, the Virgin Islands, and Oklahoma. At 1515, Nancy has created a daily luncheon menu of sandwiches, salads and soups available from 11:30 – 2:00 pm Tuesday through Saturday, as well as a wine and charcuterie menu served each day.

Much like art, food is a creative endeavor, and Nancy aims to capture visitors' imaginations and inspire their palette.  “Artists do things differently, and I have been adventurous in my life. In that way, I guess I am an artist, just with food," says Nancy. With our new offering of Food, Wine & Event Rentals, 1515 Lincoln Gallery hopes to foster unforgettable experiences that encompass beautiful art, delectable food and inspiring wine.

With new offerings, we hope to unite a more creative community and provide opportunities for meaningful connections. Events bringing art and people together encourage us all to experience creativity in new ways, challenge our perceptions, and invigorate our inspiration. We hope to see you at the gallery soon in 2024!
