The Love of Art

Artwork by Dragana Milovic

This month, we celebrate love – the love we have for one another and the love for our passions.  My passion for art and the discovery of art led me to start the gallery over four years ago.  The original name, ‘Objets Trouves,’ featured the treasured objects of art that I would discover in the most unusual places.  The quest to find art I loved drove the desire to share those finds with the public.  Along the way, I also discovered many artists creating contemporary work that I loved.  Now, at 1515 Lincoln Gallery, you will see both – older work I have discovered and more contemporary work by living artists worldwide.

All these original works of art represented in the gallery were created by visual artists inspired to share their passions and love through their artistry.  This differs from the mass-produced prints that abound in the retail market, sold mostly for decorative purposes.

I encourage you this month of February to discover what piques your curiosity and what type of art inspires you.  At 1515, we have a wide, eclectic range of art for you to peruse and an exhibition of new work by contemporary artist Larry Hefner that will run through March 9th.

As you begin your exploratory art journey, let us know at 1515 if we can assist you.  We would love to share your journey and discoveries.  We also have an in-house art appraiser if you are interested in valuing your new-found treasures.
