Experience Art and ice cream delights at 1515 lincoln gallery this summer!

Summer is here, and we hope you'll join us this month at the gallery for some very exciting events. Our next exhibition is right around the corner and features flora and fauna-inspired paintings by Ukrainian artists Daniel Green and Yulaiyla Grays Larru in a show titled "Visions of Courage." These courageous artists are a testament to the power art has to uplift us, even in unsettling times. Join us at the opening reception on Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with both artists attending. The exhibition is being co-sponsored by Afina International through Afina’s “Creativity and Resilience in the Face of War” initiatives supporting contemporary Ukrainian Artists. If you missed Janice Tayler’s exhibition, "Wading Through Cracks of Gravity," you still have a chance to see it before it concludes on Saturday, July 13!

Also new to the gallery is an outdoor sculpture by gallery artist John Wolfe. John has created an inspiring and monumental steel work, with fabrication by Klint Schor, and now installed on the front lawn of the gallery. His work is varied and the gallery features some of his smaller sculptures often featuring found objects as well as his paintings with light-filled landscapes.

I am also excited to share that 1515 Bistro, is now serving ice cream for a limited time! Drop by for lunch or just a snack and browse our art collection. The bistro also offers other tasty treats such as chocolate mice, danishes, and delectable cookies. Looking to pair your treat with a delicious beverage? Try one of our specialty iced coffee drinks or a glass of wine. 1515 Bistro is open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm, with wine and snacks available until 5:30 pm.

Wishing you a wonderful and inspiring July!

Sincerely,

Susan McCalmont
