Group Exhibition at Bancfirst tower

  • 1515 Lincoln Gallery 1515 North Lincoln Boulevard Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73104 United States (map)

This December, 1515 Lincoln Gallery is pleased to announce a collaborative group exhibition with BancFirst in Oklahoma City. We are excited to feature the work of seventeen Oklahoma artists in this inspiring show. The exhibition includes work by 1515’s represented gallery artists. Through their art, these creators share their passion with our community, offering viewers a thought-provoking experience.

The exhibition explores a wide range of themes, including landscapes, abstracts, figurative works, and more, reflecting the diverse aesthetics and interests of the talented artists. We are delighted to present this show to the public in collaboration with BancFirst. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the local non-profit organization Sooner Hope and support Ukrainian relief efforts.

Sooner Hope is a nonprofit organization created by Ukrainians living in Oklahoma who first met at the Oklahoma State Capitol during the initial protest following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Sooner Hope assists defenders by providing field medicine, first aid kits, thermal wear, and converting civilian vehicles for military use, such as evacuating wounded soldiers. Additionally, drones are utilized to scout and identify enemy positions, helping direct defensive efforts. Sooner Hope also supports the "Never Alone" project, where volunteers provide food to those living near frontline areas. Furthermore, Sooner Hope promotes Ukrainian culture by supporting young and adult artists.

The exhibition also pays tribute to our gallery owner’s late husband, Ralph McCalmont, a founder of BancFirst and lifelong supporter of arts and culture in Oklahoma City and Guthrie. He was also devoted to democratic ideals and supporting marginalized groups in society.

The exhibition will open to the public on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the new BancFirst Tower in Oklahoma City. The bank is located at 100 N. Broadway Avenue, with an opening reception from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. For more information about this exhibition, please call 405.593.1063.
