Take your portrait drawing and painting to the next level with Mastering the Portrait, a two-day workshop at 1515 Lincoln Gallery on September 12 and 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Led by Annalisa and Alexander Shanks, children of renowned realist painter Nelson Shanks, and Studio Incamminati instructor Stephen Bush, this immersive workshop offers a rare opportunity to learn techniques rooted in one of today's leading traditions of representational painting.

Participants will work through the complete portrait process, exploring gesture, light, form, colour, edges, and detail while receiving hands-on instruction from accomplished artists and educators. Whether you're refining existing skills or expanding your understanding of portraiture, the workshop is designed to provide practical techniques and insight you can continue applying long after the weekend concludes.
