Roger Runge brings a playful sense of discovery to 1515 Lincoln Gallery with More Silly Little Pots and Other Curious Porcelains on Saturday, November 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Working on the potter’s wheel, Runge creates porcelain forms inspired by classic Asian and European pottery, then combines them with hand-built elements influenced by rocks, leaves, and other natural forms. Layers of underglaze and overglaze transfers introduce humorous imagery and trompe l’oeil effects that invite viewers to look again.

Multiple firings and occasional accents of 24-karat gold leaf add refinement to these curious pieces. Visit the pop-up to explore how traditional influences, careful craftsmanship, and a sense of humor come together in Runge’s work.
